Long-time friend of Twelve Noon, Jesse Ayertey, asked us to help out with an edit for a scene that will end up in his debut feature film, The Return. The story of a retired boxer heading back into the ring, The Return is a project that will be shot over the course of a year as Jesse himself gets into fighting shape for the climactic match.
We were sent a series of shots filmed in Blackmagic RAW, from which we edited together the final piece. With minimal lighting used on set, we opted for a simple but stark colour grade to bring out the tone of the scene. We also added digital dolly shots to bring emphasis to key moments, such as the final pull out reveal of Jesse's character alone in the kitchen.
