Video interviews B roll library BTS stills
HaZ Dulull is a filmmaker who operates at the intersection of independent cinema and cutting-edge visual effects. His animated action feature Max Beyond had a story worth telling – not just on screen, but behind it. HaZ and his team wanted a series of documentary and BTS-style films capturing the people and process behind the production. Twelve Noon Films was brought in to shoot the interviews and B-roll across three London locations, giving HaZ's team the raw material to cut five distinct pieces of content along with supporting shorts.

Filming Across Three Locations
With multiple interview subjects and a spread of locations, the shoot required flexibility. We filmed actor and collaborator Ace Ruele on the set of Forty Minutes With in London – an environment already loaded with atmosphere. Cast and VFX crew interviews took place at the Razer Store in Soho, a space that suited the film's tech-forward identity. And for the sound team – including producer and post-production supervisor Paula Crickard – we filmed at SoundNode's studios in North London, where much of Max Beyond's audio work had been done.
Giving the Team What They Needed
Our role here wasn't to deliver finished films – it was to give HaZ and his team everything they needed to cut them. That meant disciplined interview coverage, clean eyelines, and enough B-roll to give the edit genuine options. The resulting five films span the full scope of the production: the director's vision, the performance, the VFX, and the craft of building a soundtrack from the ground up.
It's a model that suits documentary-style work well. One shoot. Multiple subjects. A library of material that keeps paying out across different films, different audiences, and different platforms.
